IHM Kolkata Placements

Anika Writes-

Quite satisfied with the college. Good placement, really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: 90% of the students are placed. The lowest package offered is 5-10k and the highest is 25-30k. The top recruiting companies are Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, Reliance, ITC. 90% of the students got internships. But due to COVID-19 this year, a lot of students didn’t get internships this year.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library are available. The hostel facilities are also good but there is a shortage of rooms. The quantity of food available in the canteen is good and affordable. It also has a sports ground. Every day they provide different menu.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful. They provide all the necessary equipments and notes for the exams. But the college doesn’t make the students ready for industry. The students have to make themselves ready. The faculty members are really good. But the students didn’t get much time to study because of a lot of activities.

Other: Campus life here is very enjoyable. Many functions and activities take place every month.

Suchetana Writes –

I got great placements through my college. It was the necessary push to fast-track my career.

Placements: Almost 90% students got placed, the highest offered package was 408000 CTC annually. Top recruiting companies were IHCL (TAJ) L, OBEROI, HYATT, ITC, BOSE etc. The highest possible role which was offered is a management trainee, they are known by different names like Corporate Leadership trainee in Hyatt, HDP on Taj, although it was TMTP and HOMT in my time.

Infrastructure: The mess had above average food, living conditions were adequately clean and medical facilities were nearby. We did have a gymnasium and sports days. We didn’t have Wi-Fi though, we had computer labs and a well stocked library with all the required printed materials.

Faculty: The curriculum was quite good, all the teachers are experienced and definitely qualified. It does make students ready for the industry. The mentors guide them well enough. A whole semester of college in our 2nd year is dedicated to industrial training and that is a huge stepping stone for being industry ready.
